Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant and fast-paced kitchen team at The Line Kitchens, where multiple restaurants operate under one roof. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for various restaurants, ensuring consistency and speed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items from various restaurant concepts, following recipes and ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Station Management: Manage assigned cooking station(s), including grills, fryers, or prep areas, ensuring all food is cooked and presented to the highest standard.

  • Plating & Presentation: Ensure all food is plated beautifully and according to the specific restaurant’s standards.

  • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate with the Kitchen Manager regarding any shortages or supply needs.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety protocols, including safe food handling, storage, and cleanliness standards.

  • Collaborative Work: Work effectively with chefs, prep cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless flow of operations.

  • Cleanliness & Maintenance: Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including utensils, equipment, and prep surfaces.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a multi-restaurant environment and switch between different menu styles and cooking techniques as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Strong knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment.

  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods.

  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
