Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant and fast-paced kitchen team at The Line Kitchens, where multiple restaurants operate under one roof. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for various restaurants, ensuring consistency and speed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items from various restaurant concepts, following recipes and ensuring consistency and quality.

Station Management: Manage assigned cooking station(s), including grills, fryers, or prep areas, ensuring all food is cooked and presented to the highest standard.

Plating & Presentation: Ensure all food is plated beautifully and according to the specific restaurant’s standards.

Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate with the Kitchen Manager regarding any shortages or supply needs.

Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety protocols, including safe food handling, storage, and cleanliness standards.

Collaborative Work: Work effectively with chefs, prep cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless flow of operations.

Cleanliness & Maintenance: Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including utensils, equipment, and prep surfaces.

Adaptability: Ability to work in a multi-restaurant environment and switch between different menu styles and cooking techniques as needed.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment.

Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
